REFUND POLICY

We understand that plans change. Our refund policy is designed to be fair while allowing us to manage class sizes and instructor schedules effectively.

1. STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY

💡 Pro Tip: Need flexibility? Consider purchasing a course credit instead of registering for a specific date. Credits never expire and can be applied to any course.

2. HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND

To request a refund or reschedule:

  1. Email: Send your request to refunds@mountaineerdynamics.com
  2. Include: Your name, order number, course date, and reason
  3. Response: We'll respond within 24 business hours

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. Credit card refunds may take an additional 3-5 days to appear on your statement.

3. MDI-INITIATED CANCELLATIONS

If we cancel a class due to weather, instructor illness, or other MDI-related reasons:

  • Full refund processed automatically
  • Free reschedule to any available date
  • Priority booking for the next available class

We will notify you by email and phone at least 24 hours before a class cancellation whenever possible.

4. SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

We understand that emergencies happen.

In cases of documented medical emergencies, military deployment, or family bereavement, we will work with you on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly at 304-406-3045.

5. PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lesson refund terms differ from group classes:

  • 48+ hours notice: Full refund or free reschedule
  • 24-48 hours notice: No refund; reschedule required within 30 days
  • Less than 24 hours: No refund; no reschedule

Private lesson packages must be used within 6 months of purchase. Unused sessions are non-refundable after this period.

6. CHURCH SECURITY PROGRAM

For church and organizational security assessments and training:

  • Custom proposals include specific cancellation terms
  • Deposits are generally non-refundable once assessment work begins
  • Training sessions follow the standard cancellation policy

7. MERCHANDISE & GEAR

For MDI branded merchandise and gear:

  • Unused, unopened items: Full refund within 30 days
  • Defective items: Replacement or refund at any time
  • Used items: Not eligible for return

Ammunition and safety equipment are final sale and cannot be returned.

8. DISMISSAL FROM TRAINING

Participants dismissed from training for safety violations, intoxication, or prohibited conduct are not eligible for refunds. This includes:

  • Unsafe handling of firearms
  • Failure to follow instructor commands
  • Attendance while under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Threatening or harassing behavior toward staff or students
  • Prohibited persons attempting to participate

9. GIFT CERTIFICATES & CREDITS

  • Gift certificates are non-refundable but transferable
  • Course credits do not expire and can be applied to any class
  • Credits cannot be converted back to cash
  • Partial credit balances remain on account for future use

10. PAYMENT PROCESSOR DISPUTES

If you dispute a charge with your credit card company before contacting us, we may be unable to process a refund and additional fees may apply. Please contact us first—we want to resolve any issues directly.
